When you mix classics, you’ll never go wrong. I love following the fashion trends but sometimes a girl gets tired. The way to balance following the latest trends and curating a closet of classics is to find things that are a mix of both. Find items that are hot but that you’ll still want to wear years later. Let’s call them trendy classics. It might be either the shape or color palette that provides the balance. If the color of the item is the season’s hottest, be sure that it’s in a classic silhouette. If the garment shape is a little different from what you would normally wear, then choose a color that will never go out of style. Black and white will never steer you wrong.
That is the case with this outfit. Both items are staples in my wardrobe for these reasons. I can go back to them time and time again because they are both trendy and classic.
This Equipment top is everything. Get into them. Super great silk pieces that won’t break the bank. Invest in a few of these pieces and you’ll always have something classy to throw on. A silk top is one of the top 10 items to have in your closet. Equipment has all different styles, and even dresses and pants. I own several tops, a dress, and yes, even a pair of silk pants. Remind me to break those out one day. I have fun with Equipment through color. I go for the bold, unexpected shades but it works, because a silk top is so classic.
The skirt is another favorite of mine. The black and white pattern and the unique shape makes it fun. It goes well with so many things. In the winter I can wear it with black tights, cute booties, and a simple sweater. Versatility with the seasons is key with classic pieces.
