“Jungle Cruise,” the highly anticipated movie starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, is the latest film from Walt Disney Pictures coming straight to Disney Plus.

The movie premieres on Friday, July 30, about 21 months after its intended release date.

As with “Soul,” “Mulan,” and “Hamilton,” this is another instance of a Disney film release right to the small screen. “Jungle Cruise” will still premiere in theaters, and it also will be released to Disney Plus on the same day.

A premium subscription fee is required to access it on Disney Plus, though. This has become a source of confusion for many of those interested in seeing the film.

Here’s what you need to know to watch “Jungle Cruise” when it becomes available.

How to watch ‘Jungle Cruise’ on Disney Plus

You can sign up for Disney Plus on the streaming service’s website. It costs $7.99 per month, or $79.99 per year.

However, in order to watch “Jungle Cruise,” Disney Plus users will have to make an additional $29.99 payment to unlock the film. The film will not be available to all subscribers until Nov. 12.

Disney Plus subscribers also get unlimited access to almost all of Disney’s shows and movies, as well as most content from Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.

Will ‘Jungle Cruise’ be free on Disney Plus?

“Jungle Cruise” will not be free for Disney Plus subscribers until it becomes available to everyone on Nov. 12. The only way to gain access to the film until then is to pay a premium $29.99 fee.

What time will ‘Jungle Cruise’ be released on Disney Plus?

How long will ‘Jungle Cruise’ be on Disney Plus?

Once the film is released, viewers who pay the premier access fee can watch it as many times as they want, unless they cancel their subscription. This is also true of any other movie or series available on the service, which includes “The Mandalorian,” “Soul,” “WandaVision,” and “Frozen II.”

Without going to a theater, the streaming service is the only way to watch the film for the foreseeable future.

Who is in the ‘Jungle Cruise’ movie cast?

“Jungle Cruise” stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, with the rest of the cast rounded out by Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti.

The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.
